Each of these delicate glass figurines is handmade in Mulbring by a passionate local artisan whose glassblowing journey began over four decades ago with a borrowed library book and a spark of curiosity. Since then, his craft has taken him across Australia, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand, refining skills in workshops from Melbourne to Port Moresby—and now, right here in the Hunter Valley.

Working exclusively with professional-grade Gaffer glass made from Tasmanian sand, and rich colour palettes sourced from world-renowned makers like Kugler, Reichenbach and Gaffer Glass, each piece is as unique as its maker’s journey.

The process is physically demanding and deeply meditative—shaped in moments of intense concentration, cooled slowly in an annealing oven, and finished by hand through careful cutting and polishing. No two pieces are ever the same, and the final form often reveals itself only once the glass cools.

While his studio isn’t open to the public, you can bring home a piece of this story—each figurine is a quiet testament to patience, passion, and the enduring beauty of glass.
